Why Natural is Best

Babies spend more than half of their young lives asleep, so creating a safe, healthy and comfortable sleeping environment is one of the most important things a parent can do for their child.  Naturalmat parents can be happy in the knowledge that the Naturalmat brand is one they can trust and that they are doing the very best for their children – and for the world they live in.

One Hundred Percent Organic
Naturalmat mattresses are free from no chemicals and synthetic materials.

Hypo Allergenic and Anti-Dust Mite
Naturalmat’s natural latex is 100% hypo allergenic and its unique lambswool is bathed in a mixture made from essential oils of lemon, eucalyptus and lavender, offering complete protection from house dust mites. Our cot and cot bed mattress has a removable pure cotton cover that can be machine washed at 60 degrees C (dust mites are killed at 60 degrees C) giving further allergy protection.

Naturally Fire Retardant
Naturalmat passes all fire regulations without the use of chemical or unnatural treatments in any part of the mattress.  All Naturalmat mattresses are covered in an unbleached, 100% cotton cover that is free from fire retardant additives.

Long Lasting Superior Support
Naturalmat’s durable naturally sprung mattress cores provide superior and longer lasting level of support than any other synthetic foam or metal spring.  Wool tufting is used rather than cotton as it is a far more resilient fibre with better ventilation and insulation properties.

Handmade for you in Devon, England
Naturalmat’s organic mattresses are handmade from the finest materials in the world to provide baby with the most comfortable and safest sleep environment possible for those important first years of life.

One Hundred Percent Renewable
All raw materials Naturalmat uses come from 100% renewable and sustainable sources that comply with Fair Trade policies.

Eco Packaging
All packaging used for Naturalmat mattresses is 100% biodegradable and 100% recyclable.   Naturalmat cartons are made from a mixture of recycled and renewable paper resources from FSC (Forestry Stewardship Council) managed forests.

What are the hazards of a standard foam mattress?

  • Often contain chemicals which are bad for skin and respiratory organs.
  • Standard crib mattress is usually very thin.
  • Offer little support and often dip very quickly.
  • Many existing baby mattresses have a plastic cover, which prevent air circulating through the mattress increasing the chances of your baby overheating.
